Kimberly's Pet Care provides customized private dog training lessons to address specific issues that you are experiencing with your dog. Private in-home training lessons allows me to look more closely at your situation and goals and to custom design a successful dog training program with you in mind. I can help you with a variety of behaviors and training goals.
Private Lessons focuses on resolving problems. In-home training lessons sessions allow for the full attention of the trainer and is designed to include all household members. This approach allows for training that is not only focused on the individual needs of the dog, but that is also conducted in an environment that is familiar to your pet, providing optimal learning conditions. In-home dog training is effective because it gives the trainer direct insight into the lifestyle and environment which ultimately influences your dog’s behavior and demeanor.
Private in-home training has many benefits in the comfort of your home. Your dog is in his familiar environment and often is more relaxed and open to training. There are minimum distractions that will foster a positive experience.
I help clients understand how to properly train their dog with positive reinforcement & recognize their dog’s need for structure, and guidance as well as fulfilling their dog’s needs. This is the key to eliminating unwanted behaviors and creating a healthy, balanced, non-destructive companion.
The first lesson is 2 hours so we can be completely thorough. This includes a complete evaluation to observe the behaviors and dynamics of your situation as well as leave you with the appropriate training skills to address the issues you share with me, and anything else I see that will help you.
The purpose of the initial consult is to learn more about you and your dog, observe your dog’s responses in a quiet environment with just the right number of distractions, gather information from you and your family, fully understand your training objectives, and take a complete history before training.
A follow-up training session of one hour is strongly recommended to help ensure transfer of skills and knowledge has been accomplished as well as addressing any concerns that have come up as well. You must consistently work with your dog and take full responsibility for your dog’s behavior along with your investment in training.
